Accessing the Cardinal Portal, the Gateway to FIN/HCM/BI
The Cardinal Portal is the access point to the Cardinal Financials (FIN), Human Capital Management (HCM), and Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
Cardinal users can access all applications by visiting my.cardinal.virginia.gov, or by clicking the red button in the upper right corner of this page!

Do I need to register? |
Agencies within the Commonwealth of Virginia (COV*) network, whose users are managed through VITA, are considered COV agencies/users. If you are in this category AND have an agency assigned business email address, there is no need to register. COV users with an agency-provided email address can use their COV credentials (email address and network password) to log into Cardinal. For more information, please refer to Section 1 of the Cardinal System Access Guide. |

How do I reset my password? |
To reset your network password, please access the VITA Customer Care page and follow the instructions under the Reset your Password section. |
To reset your Cardinal Password, access the Cardinal Login page and click the Forgot Password link. This automated email may take up to 20 minutes to deliver, make sure to check your spam! |
What should I do if I’ve locked myself out? |
You will receive an email indicating when your account will be unlocked and instructions for next steps. |

Use the "Request Assistance" link found on the top menu bar of the VITA Service Portal, or go to the Vita Customer Care page to send a ticket to VCCC. |
